Wrap-around support services
Success doesn't come from one service alone
It comes from having the right support at every stage of your journey. Our services are built to remove barriers, build confidence, and create real pathways to stability — comprehensive, and working together.
Most programs are provided at no cost. We strive to provide services at no cost whenever possible. If a program or service does have a fee, affordable options may be available, including a sliding scale based on income. Any costs will always be explained upfront, so you'll know what to expect before you choose to participate.
You do not need insurance, an ID or a referral to start. Call (202) 491-3155 or send the short form. These services are offered separately from ATO Supportive Housing — you do not have to live with us to use them, and residents are never required to use them.
Career & employment support
We help you prepare for real opportunities — not just apply for them.
A job search goes badly when the only thing you can do is send applications into the dark. We work the whole thing with you: what the résumé says, what you say in the room, and who actually reads it.
What we offer
- Résumé development and professional branding
- Mock interview coaching and confidence building
- Job search guidance and application support
- Direct job placement assistance through employer partnerships
Education & training referrals
Whether you are starting fresh or leveling up, we connect you to the right programs.
There is no shortage of training programs. There is a shortage of honest advice about which one fits the job you actually want, so we start with the goal and work backwards.
What we offer
- Referrals to vocational training and certification programs
- Connections to GED, college and career-focused education
- Guidance on choosing the right path based on your goals
Digital literacy & workforce readiness
We make sure you are prepared for today's workplace.
Most jobs now assume you can find a shared file, join a call and write a clear message. Those are teachable skills, and not knowing them yet is not a character flaw.
What we offer
- Training in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and essential tools
- Basic computer skills and online navigation
- Professional communication and workplace expectations
Life stabilization support
Stability is the foundation for growth.
Nobody interviews well the week the food runs out. The practical things come first, because everything else is built on top of them.
What we offer
- Food box assistance and basic needs support
- Referrals for housing, healthcare and community resources
- Guidance navigating public benefits and local services
Personalized support & referrals
No two journeys are the same — and neither is our approach.
What you need is not what the person before you needed. We start from your situation rather than from a program brochure.
What we offer
- One-on-one support tailored to your situation
- Referrals to trusted community partners
- Ongoing check-ins to keep you on track
Case management services
One person who knows your whole situation and stays with it. Most people in a hard season are not short on advice — they are short on someone who keeps track.
What a case manager does
- Comprehensive needs assessments to identify barriers to stability and success
- Individualized service plans built around each client's goals
- Care coordination across providers — medical, behavioral health and social services
- Ongoing one-on-one support and regular check-ins to monitor progress
- Connections to community resources: housing, food assistance, transportation
- Help applying for benefits, services and supportive programs
- Advocacy on the client's behalf to secure access to needed services
- Crisis intervention and problem-solving during periods of instability
- Progress tracking, with the service plan adjusted as outcomes change
- Referrals to education, job training and employment opportunities
- Life skills development — time management, communication, organization
- Continuity of care through follow-ups and provider communication
- A path toward self-sufficiency and long-term independence
Case management is a service ATO provides separately. It is not part of the ATO Supportive Housing residence, and living in ATO housing neither includes it nor requires it.
More than services
A support system
We don't just connect you to resources — we walk alongside you. From your first step to your next opportunity, the goal is that you feel supported, prepared and empowered at every stage.
If you want to put all of it to work at once, the internship program runs the preparation and then places you with an employer.
Where to start
One conversation. We will figure out together which of these is the piece you need first.
Not sure which one you need?
That is normal. Call us and we will figure it out together — it is a twenty-minute conversation, not an application.
