You do not need a social work degree to be useful. Some of the most valuable hours anyone gives us are a ride, a mock interview, or a phone call to an employer.

What actually helps
Mock interviews
An hour of your time, done twice, changes how somebody walks into a real interview. Especially valuable if you hire people for a living.
Computer tutoring
Sit beside someone and teach email, Word, or how to fill out an online application. Patience matters more than expertise.
Rides
Interviews, clinic visits, the Social Security office. Transportation is one of the most common reasons a plan falls apart.
Paperwork help
Benefits applications, vital documents, housing forms. If you are the kind of person who reads instructions carefully, we need you.
Run a drive
Work clothes, hygiene items, bus passes, grocery gift cards, laptops. Tell us what you can gather and we will tell you what is short this month.
Hire someone
The single most useful thing an employer can do. Tell us what you need and we will send you candidates who are ready.

Work here
We are a small team in Phoenix and Houston. When we hire, it is usually case management, resident support, or program staff.
We especially want to hear from people with lived experience of homelessness, recovery, or reentry. Knowing the system from the inside is a qualification, not a gap on a resume.
